ESCANABA — Bay College honored its 2024 Outstanding Student Employee during a ceremony held on April 16 at the Iron Mountain Campus. Each year, Bay College honors an Outstanding Student Employee. Any Bay College employee, board member, student, alumni, or community member may nominate a student employee for the Bay College Outstanding Student Employee Award. Nominees are judged by their teamwork; initiative; professionalism; outstanding performance; and contribution.

The 2024 Outstanding Student Employee is James Bramblett.

James Bramblett was hired in August 2023 as a student employee for the IT department at the Iron Mountain Campus. He took initiative in learning Bay College systems and becoming an integral part of the team. He provided necessary support to the IT department, staff, and faculty. He was nominated by several of his colleagues for being patient, helpful, and a pleasure to work with.

A colleague said about James: “James is a pleasure to work with; he is very patient, listens well, and is not afraid to handle issues. He has helped with events at the Iron Mountain Campus and is always very professional.”
