ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court in unrelated cases.

Mellissa Rose Metzger, whose address is listed at P.O. Box 124 in Harris, pleaded guilty to one count of operating while intoxicated – third offense. Metzger was sentenced to 18 months to five years in prison and credited for 23 days served in jail. In addition, Metzger was ordered to pay $198 in fines and fees.

In a separate case, Metzger was pleaded guilty to one county of controlled substance – possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy and one count of controlled substance – possession of cocaine, heroine, or another narcotic less than 25 grams. She was sentenced to 18 months to 10 years in prison and 17 months to four years in prison on the charges, respectively. In both cases, she was credited for 23 days served in jail. She was also ordered to pay $266 in fines and fees in this case.

Jason Raymond Holmes, of 321 S. 13th St. Apt. 1 in Escanaba, pleaded no contest to one count of criminal sexual conduct – assault with intent to commit sexual penetration.

Holmes was registered as a sex offender and sentenced to 48 months to 10 years in prison. He was credited for 400 days served in jail.

In addition, Holmes was sentenced to $258 in fines and fees.

Alex Joseph Seymour II, homeless, pleaded guilty to one count of controlled substance – delivery/manufacture – methamphetamine. He was sentenced to 3 to 20 years in prison and credited with 260 days served in jail. He was also ordered to pay $258 in fines and fees.

Hunter Lawrence Viau, of 3961 13.75 Road in Escanaba, pleaded guilty to one count of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to one day in jail, credited for one day already served, and ordered to pay $50.

Tyler Scott Hiller, of 1600 S. 30th Street Lot #122 in Escanaba, pleaded guilty to one count of motor vehicle – unlawful use – 2 year misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 11 months in jail and credited for 106 days already served. He was ordered to pay $5,589 in fines and fees, which included $4,891 in restitution.

Darrell Gene Vanhorn, of 5852 26th Lane in Gladstone, pleaded no contest to one county of domestic violence – third offense. He was sentenced to two to five years in prison and credited for 110 days served in jail. he was also ordered to pay $198 in fines and fees.

Aiden Michael-Garlow Colburn, homeless, of Escanaba, pleaded guilty to two counts of controlled substance – delivery/manufacture – methamphetamine and one count of weapons – firearms – receiving and concealing. He was sentenced to 51 months to 20 years in prison for both of the drug charges and 12 months in jail for the weapons charge. Colburn was credited for 301 days already served in jail for all counts, and all three sentences will be served concurrently/

Colburn was ordered to pay $394 in fines and fees.

Ryan Wilson Dehaan, of 1772 North Brandon Ridge Drive NW in Grand Rapids, Mich., pleaded no contest to three counts of stalking – aggravated. He was sentenced to 12 months in jail and credited for 526 days already served for each charge, but all three sentences will be served concurrently.

Dehaan was also ordered to pay $334 in fines and fees.

James Michael Zielinski Jr., of 113 Walnut Street in Munising, pleaded guilty to one count of motor vehicle – unlawful driving away. He was sentenced to 12 months in jail and credited for 160 days already served. Zielinski was also ordered to pay $1,960.99 in fines and fees, which included $1,262.99 in restitution.

Kathryn Ann Sjogren, of 2120 S. 11th St. in Escanaba, pleaded guilty to one count of jails – prisoner possessing contraband. She was sentenced to 12 days in jail and credited fro 12 days served. She will be placed on probation for 24 months and must successfully complete the Sobriety Court program as part of her probation.

Sjogren was ordered to pay $848 in fines and fees.
