Hospital’s Festival of Trees seeking sponsors

MANISITQUE — Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital (SMH) is looking for sponsors for the Second Annual Festival of Trees Nov. 23 through Dec. 6. The Festival of Trees is a holiday-themed event with proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets and an online auction going towards Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital’s Annual Fund.

The hospital’s Annual Fund helps SMH deliver close-to-home healthcare and specialty services to rural residents. Trees are displayed in the SMH Atrium for the two weeks of festivities. The festivities include additional attractions such as holiday entertainment, art experiences, children’s activities, and more. The focal point of the event is the display and sale of holiday trees, wreaths, gift certificates, get-ways, merchandise, and more donated by businesses and community groups like yours.

The raffle drawing will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6, and streamed live on Facebook.

The hospital plans to move worwad with the two-week-long celebration, but a back-up virtual event is prepared in case rescritctions are mandated due to the COVID-19 crisis.
