Volunteers needed for waterfront cleanup
ESCANABA — The Escanaba Recreation Department will be cleaning up the waterfront on Thursday, July 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. Volunteers are being sought to help. Garbage bags will be provided and gloves if needed. Work will begin at the Municipal Dock and continue along the shoreline to end behind the Karas Bandshell.
Refreshments will be served afterwards at the Municipal Dock, compliments of Meijer of Escanaba. If you would like to volunteer, contact the recreation department at 786-4141 or e-mail recreation@escanaba.org.
