Esky library offers video streaming resources

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Public Library has added four new video streaming services available to library cardholders. The new services are part of the RB Digital (Recorded Books) database and include new options for music, movies, TV and online learning courses.

Included in the new selections are Acorn TV, British TV & Films which provides world-class mysteries, dramas, and comedies from Britain and beyond, Qello Concerts by Stingray, the world’s largest collection of full-length concerts and music documentaries, The Great Courses Library Collection, covering a wide variety of subjects with in-depth video lectures for lifelong learning and personal enrichment and IndieFlix, a movie service offering award-winning feature films, documentaries, shorts and pop culture favorites.

“We are excited to add these first-rate educational and entertainment resources to our growing digital library, especially during these challenging times,” said Library Director Carolyn Stacey. “Although the library must remain closed during the State’s stay at home order, we want to continue to offer opportunities for enrichment.”

Patrons can “Check out” any one resource to explore for a seven-day period by linking to https://escanabami.rbdigital.com/. Users will need to create a free RB Digital account using their library barcode and PIN. Online registration for a free e-card to check out digital content is available to area residents on the library’s web page at www.escanabalibrary.org
