Foundation seeks grant applications

MENOMINEE — The M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF) will be accepting applications for grants from their Philanthropy Fund. Nonprofits, religious organizations, schools and government entities are invited to apply. Applications must be submitted through the Foundation’s website (mmacf.org/grants) between Jan. 15 and 31t. Grants will be awarded in March.

The Philanthropy Fund is intended to support projects, throughout Marinette and Menominee counties, which are specifically designed to “Pay It Forward.” For example, the Foundation has partnered with North Central Schools to provide grant funding for their “Community Project Day” where all students spent a day in their community performing volunteer work. Typical jobs on this volunteer day included raking, lawn work and washing windows for elderly residents in the Powers area.

Grant funding is made available by the charitable contributions of local donors through an endowment established and managed by the MMACF.

For more information on how to give back to our communities via the Foundation, contact MMACF Executive Director, Paula Gruszynski, at 906-864-3599.
