Pop machine damaged in Escanaba

ESCANABA — A pop machine was damaged on Water Plant Road in Escanaba Sunday.

Escanaba Public Safety officers were called to 17 Water Plant Road in Escanaba for a damaged pop machine near the marina at 3:28 p.m. Sunday. A damage estimate was not listed.

Officers contacted Bink’s Coca Cola about the machine.

Semi damages sign in Wells area

WELLS TOWNSHIP — A semi pulling a trailer hit a traffic sign on highway U.S. 2 and 41 and M-35 in Wells Township Monday.

At 3:39 p.m. Monday, Delta County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to the stretch of highway near Co. 426 M.5 Road for a traffic sign that was struck by a semi’s trailer.

The semi driver, a 59-year-old Lewiston, Mich., man, told officers he was at the U-turn across Derouin’s Collision when he tried to merge onto the highway in the closet lane. He explained his trailer struck the “do not enter” sign. Damage was done to the sign and wooden post. No value of the damage was listed.

Deputies reported the damage to Michigan’s Department of Transportation and Delta County Road Commission.
