Column: Get involved in the Chamber Golf Outing

ESCANABA — You are cordially invited to mix business with pleasure at the Chamber’s annual Golf Outing, sponsored by Engineered Machine Products, on July 23 at Irish Oaks Golf Course in Gladstone. This is a perfect opportunity to network with friends who share two common interests – business and GOLF!

Our members tell us that one reason they join the Chamber is because of the networking opportunities available to them.  This is perhaps one of the most valuable membership benefits the Chamber can provide and that is just what the golf outing is all about. Guests enjoy a productive day (conveniently scheduled during the week) networking while golfing.

Here’s why networking at the golf outing is important for your business:

Businesspeople are more inclined to do business with people they know. Not only that, but they are also more inclined to refer friends, family and their customers to someone they know.

Hole event sponsorships provides an excellent opportunity to get your company’s name, product and services out there – to make yourself and your company better known.

The golf outing is a great way to meet potential customers and increase your customer base. It is also an easy way to find the services you need or have been looking for right in your own backyard.

This premier networking/golf event takes place in a relaxed, non-competitive atmosphere. What could be better than spending a full day on the links while enjoying great food, drinks and games at each member sponsored hole along the course?

Not a golfer? Not a problem. There are many ways to be involved and advertise your business including prize donation (inexpensive promotion), food and beverage sponsorships or simply joining us as a volunteer during the day.

Plan now to attend and bring plenty of business cards and your friendly smile to the 27th annual Chamber Challenge and give networking a swing!
