James and Joanna Mosher

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Joanna Schmit became the bride of James Mosher during a 3 p.m. ceremony performed by Dennis Mosher at Germanic American Institute in St. Paul, Minn. on July 21st.

Joanna’s parents are Steven and Stephanie Schmit of Minneapolis, Minn., and James’s parents are Mike and Sally Mosher of Cornell.

James graduated from Michigan State University, magnum cum laude, with a bachelor of arts in psychology; a master’s in clinical psychology from Miami University, Ohio; and a PhD in clinical psychology from Miami University, Ohio. He is employed at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center as staff psychologist and also at Mosher Psychological Services – Psychologist (private practice).

Joanna graduated from Calvin College with a bachelor’s in 2006, University of Illinois Chicago with a master’s in 2010, and Dominican University in 2012. Joanna is a bilingual 5th grade teacher.

Joanna chose her friend Katelyn Bednarski as her maid of honor.

James chose his brother Bill Mosher as his best man. The usher was John Schmit.

Following the ceremony, the couple and their families welcomed and entertained guests at Germanic American Institute.

After a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is at home in Minneapolis, Minn.
