Schlyn and Cory Thiry

DAGGETT — Schlyn LaVigne and Cory Thiry were united in marriage on Aug. 27. The ceremony was held in the barn at Jaspers Sugar Bush in Carney, with a reception to honor the happy couple in a beautiful white tent in the field.

Schlyn is the daughter of Kalisa Ray of Escanaba. She is a 2008 graduate of Gladstone High School. Schlyn is a loan processor at Integra First Federal Credit Union.

Cory is the son of David Thiry of Nadeau and Lori and Scott Van of Daggett. He is a 2008 graduate of Carney Nadeau High School. Cory is employed at Marinette Marine.

For the wedding party the couple chose: Jayna Ray as maid of honor, sister of the bride; Julia Gudwer as of matron of honor, best friend of the bride, bridesmaids were, Amber Thiry, sister-in-law of the groom, Stacy Simon, Brittany Cummings, and Sara Romps, friends of the bride.

Best man was Tyler Thiry, brother of the groom; Mike Dahlke and Josh Neece, cousins of the groom; and John Jasper, Mike Polfus and Jared Benson, friends of the groom.

James Ray and Rob Streiber, cousins of the bride, along with Jeffry Lyle and Tim Gudwer, friends of the couple served as ushers.

Kinsey Thiry, niece of the groom, and Sophia Gudwer, niece of the bride were the flower girls. Ring bearer was Ben Thiry, nephew of the groom.

The couple honeymooned on a cruise to Mexico in January, and are making their home in Stephenson, getting ready to start their own family.
