St. Anthony’s pasty sale

ESCANABA — St. Anthony’s Church is having a pasty sale on Aug. 14 and 15. To preorder call or text Debbie at 906-399-4259. Pickup will be at St. Thomas Church in Escanaba.

Delivery is available to Escanaba businesses. Extra pasties will be available in the late afternoon.

Delta Coin Club meeting

ESCANABA — The next meeting of the Delta Coin Club is set for Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 5 p.m. in room 961 of the Joseph Heirman University Center Building at Bay College. Free Christian Celtic music concert

ESCANABA — MPK Celtic Band, a group that performs Celtic music with a Christian message, will be performing on Aug. 22 at 6:30 p.m. at Lakeside Christian Church located at 2300 S 21st St. in Escanaba. The concert is free, but a freewill offering will be collected.

Gladstone Class of 1976 reunion

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone class of 1976, 50th reunion will be Thursday, July 2, 2026 at the Gladstone Golf Club.

Organizers are working on the details but need help with getting the word out, If you are in contact with any classmates, direct classmates to the class reunion’s Facebook page, “GHS Class of 1976 Reunion.”

Esky Class of 1965 plans reunion

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Class of 1965 will hold its 60th reunion on Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Island Resort and Casino.

The buffet dinner with appetizers costs $38 per person. Attending classmates are asked to submit their payment by Monday, Aug. 4 to provide an accurate attendace count. Make checks payable to “Escanaba Class of 1965” and send them to mark Miller, 5389 Portage Point 11.4 Lane, Escanaba, MI 49829.

Additional activities will be announced as they are finalized. In the meantime, classmates are asked to contact other classmates or friends who are not in the Facebook group.

DAV sets meeting schedule

ESCANABA — Disabled American Veterans Chapter #24 will conduct meetings at 7 p.m. the first Monday of every month at the Purple Heart Building, 1202 Sheridan Road, Escanaba.

Steam and Gas Engine Association book

ESCANABA — “The Upper Peninsula Steam & Gas Engine Association: A Narrative History,” a book celebrating of the association’s first 50 years, will be available for purchase at the U.P. State Fair, during the association’s annual Labor Day Show, and during Christmas in the Village. The book is filled with pictures and stories about the group and its history. The price is $35.
