Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Road, on Sunday, June 8 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Live music will be provided by Old Friends. There is a door cost and a free-will donation lunch will be available.

Genealogical Society to meet May 19 at Bay

ESCANABA — The next meeting of the Delta County Genealogical Society is Monday, May 19 at 5 p.m. in room 961 of the Joseph Heirman University Center building at Bay College in Escanaba. The public is always invited. Bring your stories and research problems to the meeting.

Summer Card and Game Night returns for library

GLADSTONE — The Friends of the Gladstone Public Library is hosting its annual Summer Card/Game Party and Strawberry Shortcake Social on Thursday, June 12, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of First Lutheran Church, 1212 Minneapolis Avenue, in Gladstone.

There will be a summer basket raffle, a “share the wealth” raffle, as well as door prizes. Tickets are available for $10 at the Gladstone library of from a Friend of the Library. To reserve a table, call Connie at 906-428-1696.

All proceeds got to the library to help support activities and programs for the community, especially children, such as story hours and summer reading programs. This past year the group was able to give the library more than $40,500 thanks to the continued support and generosity of the community.

Right to Life of Delta County to hold meeting

ESCANABA — A re-organizational meeting for Right to Life of Delta County will take place at Pregnancy Services on May 22 at 7 p.m. All interested persons are welcome.
