Sons of Union Veterans to hold genealogy talk
MARQUETTE — The Upper Peninsula Camp of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War will meet on Saturday, April 19, 2025, 11 a.m. (Eastern) at the Family Search Center, located in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 350 Cherry Creek Road, Marquette, MI 49855.
The meeting is an opportunity for members and the public to become familiar with and utilize the genealogy resources of the Family Search Center’s resources with a focus on research on veterans. Resources at the Center are available without charge.
In addition, as April 19 is the 250th Anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, Brother Jim Strain, who holds the position as Genealogist for the Straits Chapter of the Sons of the Revolution, will have a short presentation about the importance of these battles and “the shot heard ’round the world.”

Gladstone Legion Steak Feed Dinner April 24
GLADSTONE — The next Gladstone American Legion Post 71 Steak Feed Dinner will be held Thursday, April 24, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Gladstone American Legion Post 71, 802 Delta Ave, Gladstone. There is a cost for the meal.
Gladstone Class of 1975 reunion planned
GLADSTONE — The Gladstone High School Class of 1975 is holding its 50th class reunion on Thursday, May 29 at the Gladstone Golf Club. Dinner is at 6 p.m. All classmates are welcome. Call Mary Beth at 906-241-9754 for more information.

GLADSTONE — There will be no Gladstone American Legion Post 71 breakfast this month.
Indian Ed feast
ESCANABA — The Title VI Indian Ed Program of Escanaba Schools will hold its community-wide Feast on Tuesday, April 22 from 6 to 8 p.m in the Upper Elementary cafeteria, located at 1500 Ludington.
During the event, the Indian Ed Parent Committee will review the Title VI grant and the chair will sign the IPCA form.
