St. Anthony calendar raffle winner named
ESCANABA — Kathy Strasler of Escanaba is the latest winner of $100 in the St. Anthony of Padua calendar raffle.
Lord’s Acre Auction returns Oct. 12
FAIRBANKS TOWNSHIP — The Annual Lord’s Acre Auction, hosted by the Fayette Congregational Church, will take place Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Fairbanks Township Hall in Fayette.
The bake sale will begin at 11 a.m. with the auction beginning at 11:30 a.m. Items available include jams, jellies, quilts, handmade wood creations and other art projects.
Delta Coin Club to meet
GLADSTONE — The next meeting of the Delta Coin Club is Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 5 p.m. at the new location of 819 Delta Ave., Gladstone.

MARSP to meet
CARBONDALE — The Menominee County Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) will meet on Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Little Nugget Clubhouse on East County Rd. 338 in Carbondale. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Central time.
The luncheon will be served at noon Central time followed by the program and a short business meeting. The luncheon will be a harvest dinner, for a cost of $14. The program will presented by Cheryl Goc from UPCAP. She will speak on “Food as Medicine.”
Members are asked to bring nonperishable food items to be donated to the Mid-County Food Pantry.

Pasty sale
ESCANABA — St. Anthony’s Church is having a Pasty Sale on Oct. 10 and 11. To preorder, call Debbie at 906-399-4259. Pick up is at St. Thomas Church in Escanaba from 1-4 p.m.
Delivery is available to Escanaba businesses. Extra pasties will be available while supplies last. This is the last pasty sale until April.
