Escanaba VFW sets meeting for Aug. 12
ESCANABA — VFW Post 2998, of Escanaba, will have their monthly meeting Monday, Aug. 12, 6 p.m. at the Purple Heart Building, 1202 Sheridan Rd. The Delta County Veterans Council meeting will follow at 7 p.m.
Bay de Noc Stamp and Coin Club meeting
ESCANABA — The next meeting of the Bay de Noc Stamp and Coin Club is Monday, Aug. 12 at 5 p.m. in room 961 of the Joseph Heirman University Center building at Bay College. The public is always welcome.

MEA-Retired group to meet Aug. 21
ESCANABA — U.P. Tri-County MEA-Retired group will hold a meeting Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. (EDT) at Bay College in the Joseph Heirman University Center, room 911.
Any interested retired or current MEA member may attend. Dues of $20 will be collected at this time, along with scheduling meeting dates for the upcoming year.
Car wash to support AP English trip abroad
ESCANABA — Escanaba High School AP English students are raising money to help pay for a trip to Italy and Greece next summer with a car wash at Mark’s Auto on US 2 on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
