Groleau named Elk of the Year

Bryce Groleau

ESCANABA — Escanaba Elks Lodge #354 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America has selected Bryce Groleau as the Elk of the Year for the 2023-2024 Fraternal Year.

Groleau has been a member of the Elks for 20 years and has proven himself to be an active and dedicated member. He has served the lodge over the years as both a lodge officer and as a lodge trustee. A lifelong area resident, Groleau resides in Escanaba with his wife, Cindy, and their dog, Syuk.

When the lodge experienced a fire behind the kitchen shortly before the beginning of the lodge year, Groleau was one of the first on the scene to assess the damage and get the ball rolling on necessary repairs. His leadership helped ensure the kitchen could open back up as quickly as possible. His electrical work helped get the kitchen and dining room back to operational and within code.

Over the years, if there was a large project being done to improve the lodge, Groleau was always there pitching in and doing more than his fair share of the work. Be it bar remodels, new lighting, or hanging new televisions, he’s been there to help move the lodge forward.
