Legion announces December events

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone American Legion has announced their events for the month of December. That are as follows:

Dec. 4 — American Legion Post 71 monthly meeting, 6 p.m.

Dec. 5, 12, 19 — Taco Tuesday, 4:30 to 7 p.m. (open to the community)

Dec. 13 — Sons of the American Legion, 6 p.m. (Saloon)

Dec. 14 — Auxiliary meeting pizza party, 6 p.m.

Dec. 16 — Christmas party, 4 p.m.

Dec. 17 — Breakfast, 9 a.m. to noon (open to the community)

Dec. 20 — Riders meeting, 6 p.m., location to be determined

Dec. 28 — Steak Feed, 4 to 7 p.m. (open to the community)

All meetings and events are at the Legion Post, 802 Delta Ave., in Gladstone unless otherwise stated.

Democrats to meet

ESCANABA — The Delta Dems will meet Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the USW Hall, 1201 Sheridan Road, Escanaba. Social time begins at 6:30 p.m. For more information, email deltademsmi@gmail.com.

Legion to meet

ESCANABA — The Escanaba American Legion Post 82 will have their monthly meeting on Tuesday, Dec 5, at 6:30 p.m., at the Purple Heart Building, 1202 Sheridan Rd., Escanaba. All legion members are encouraged to attend to help rebuild this post.

Elks Auxiliary to meet

ESCANABA — The Elks Auxiliary will hold their December meeting on Thursday, Dec. 7. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:45 p.m. and the meeting to follow. Call or text Peggy at 906-280-1585 with your reservation or cancellation by noon on Monday, Dec. 4.

The group will be collecting toy donations for Toys for Tots at the meeting.
