Pancakes, bake sale for blastomycosis victims

ESCANABA — A pancake breakfast and bake sale for the Escanaba paper mill workers who have been affected by fungal pneumonia (blastomycosis) will be held Sunday, April 2, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the USW Local 2-21 Hall, 1201 Sheridan Ave. in Escanaba.

The breakfast is open to the public for a free-will donation.

Delivery is available to the paper mill by calling 786-1846. Deliveries will be available beginning at 6:30 a.m.

Those interested in helping with the fundraiser in anyway are asked to contact Donna Dams at 906-282-3430 or 906-233-2889, E4 Supers.

Area Cantata Choir to present concert

ROCK — The Rock-Perkins Area Cantata Choir will present their annual Easter cantata this year on Sunday, April 2, at 4 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Rock and again at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins.

Refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow each performance. The public is welcome.
