Legion to meet

GLADSTONE — The American Legion Post 115 and Auxiliary will meet Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the Escanaba Township Hall.

Elks Auxiliary to meet

ESCANABA — The Elks Auxiliary will hold its February meeting on Thursday, Feb. 2.

Social hour will be at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:45 p.m. and the meeting to follow.

Guests are welcome to attend with a member.

Taco Tuesday returns

GLADSTONE — Taco Tuesday is back at the American Legion in Gladstone. Tacos will be served every Tuesday from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m.

Bay Sages meet Thursday in Escanaba

ESCANABA — The monthly meeting of the Bay Sages will be held Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. in room 952 of the Joseph Heirman University Center at Bay College.

Librarian Mariel Carter and Academic Specialist Matt Stewart will speak on services provided to students at Bay College.

The Bay Sages is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing lifelong learning experiences for older adults. Annual dues cover the cost of newsletters, speakers, meeting refreshments and a stipend towards luncheon expenses.

Grief group gathers

ESCANABA — UP Health System Hospice will be hosting a grief group every third Monday of the month to assist those who have lost a loved one find comfort and hope through the journey of grief. The support group is held in-person and aims to assist those in need with their concerns related to grief and loss.

Meetings will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Blessed Hope Baptist Church, located at 2530 14th Avenue South Escanaba. Those who wish to attend virtually can call 337-366-8263 and enter access code 573198775# when prompted.

The meetings will take place March 20, April 17, and May 22.
