Rapid River Lions Community Fundraiser

RAPID RIVER — The Rapid River Lions Community Fundraiser Dinner will be held Saturday, June 18. Social hour is from 4 to 5 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m.

The evening will features dinner prepared by the Lions and Swedish rye bread made by Lion Jack Holzworth.

There is a cost for the dinner. All proceeds from the event go to organizations the Rapid River Lions support. There are about 20 organizations on the list, including Bay Cliff.

Lions Club members are reminded that the member appreciation and officer installation has been moved from June 23 to July 28. Social hour for that event will be from 4 to 5 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m.

Father’s Day breakfast

GLADSTONE — American Legion Post 71 of Gladstone will be serving an all-you-can-eat breakfast on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19. Fathers get a discount on their meal.
