Walk 4 Life set for June 4 in Escanaba

ESCANABA — The mission at Pregnancy Services of Delta County is “to provide life affirming emotional, spiritual, and physical support for individuals vulnerable to abortion.” With that in mind, the group is going into its eighth year of its second biggest annual fundraiser.

The Walk 4 Life annual event is set for Saturday, June 4 at 9 a.m. at the Ludington Park Pavilion. There will be a new route for one- or two-mile walkers that will travel on Aronson Island.

There will be chances to win prizes with pledges, engage community supporters, have a snack and most importantly support Pregnancy Services of Delta County.

Participants will also be able to meet Pregnancy Services’ new Executive Director Allison Van Gorp and new Community Outreach and Resource Coordinator Amy Fudala, who will be leading this event.

Last year, the goal was to raise $35,000 with the community’s support in pledges, and the group was able to exceed that goal and raise $52,000. Once again, the goal has been set at $35,000.

Not able to attend in person? Register or donate online at psdcpartners.org. For questions about the event, contact Fudala at 906-630-6337.

Pregnancy Services would also like to announce it’s newest program,

Journey of Hope that supports those who have experienced loss at the infancy to miscarried level. Women can come together at any age and share stories of loss or help discuss how to cope with the loss. Any questions regarding this program can be directed to Client Services and Volunteer Coordinator Jamie Fisher at 906-241-9344.

Starting at $3.50/week.
