Memorial UMC ­rummage sale

GLADSTONE — Memorial United Methodist Church of Gladstone, located on Lakeshore Drive near McDonald’s, will be having a rummage sale Thursday, May 19, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, May 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and a bag sale on Saturday, May 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The sale will feature household items, clothes items and shoes.

Menominee County Chapter of MARSP

MENOMINEE – The Menominee County Chapter of Michigan Retired School Personnel (MARSP) will meet on Thursday, May 12, at the Little Nugget Clubhouse on East County Rd. 338, in Carbondale. Registration will be from 11 to 11:55 a.m. CDT with the luncheon served at noon. There is a cost for the meal.

The program will include a “welcome back” and a brief business meeting. Following the meeting, the chapter memorial service will be held to honor and remember deceased Menominee County chapter members from the past years.

Steakfeed Thursday

GLADSTONE — American Legion Post 71 of Gladstone will hold a steakfeed on Thursday, April 28. Food will be served from 4:30 until 7 p.m. The public is welcome.

Candle Light Dinner

GLADSTONE — The Friends of the Gladstone Public Library are hosting the Annual Candle Light Dinner on April 30 at 6 p.m. at All Saints Church.

The event celebrates the continuing support of the community. Tickets are available at Gladstone Public Library or from any “Friends” member.
