Cub Scouts to hold open house event
ESCANABA — Cub Scout Pack 414 is trying to restart is having an open house and sign up on Nov. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, located on the corner of 1st Avenue South and South 11th Street in Escanaba. Cub Scouts is for boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Parents and prospective Cub Scouts are welcome to attend.

Thanksgiving dinner
GLADSTONE — A free Thanksgiving dinner will be served at Grace Church in Gladstone Thursday, Nov. 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The church is located at 528 28th St. All are welcome.
Breakfast at the Eagles
ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eagles, located at 608 Ludington St., will be serving breakfast Sunday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a fee for the breakfast, which is open to the public.

Community Christmas caroling Gladstone
GLADSTONE — Gladstone area churches are planning to join together for a community Christmas caroling event on Sunday, Dec. 12 at 1 p.m. Participants will meet at Memorial United Methodist Church on Lake Shore Drive in Gladstone in the parking lot and will travel in small groups to the Gladstone assisted living homes and nursing homes. Singers will also visit and sing for some of the area’s shut-ins.
Everyone is welcome to join the event. After caroling, Christmas cookies, hot chocolate and coffee will be served at Memorial United Methodist Church.
