Legion, Auxiliary to meet Wednesday

ESCANABA TOWNSHIP — American Legion Post 115 and the Auxiliary will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Flat Rock Hall.

MARSP meeting ­canceled for October

ESCANABA — Due to COVID-19 concerns, the Delta county board of directors has decided to cancel the October MARSP meeting, which was originally scheduled for Oct. 5. Decisions will be made on the November and December meetings at a later date.

AAUW meeting Oct. 21

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Area Branch of American Association of University Women (AAUW) will hold its Oct. 21 meeting at 6:30 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Church, located at 500 Ogden Ave. The topic for the evening is “Famous AAUW Women” and will feature ten women in recent and past American history who have played important roles in the society.

Dessert and coffee will be provided. Those interested in attending should call 786-3415 no later than Oct.17.

In addition, the AAUW Homes for the Holidays house tours will be held on Sunday, Dec. 12 from 1 until 4 p.m. Tickets will go on sale in late October. Homes on the tour will be announced at that time.

AAUW is open to men and women holding an associate’s degree or higher. Established in 1881, it promotes gender equality and life-long learning.
