Remember When?

Known locally as “The Quarry” the cut through the quarry was done in 1911 for passage north of town for travel to Schaffer. The sides of the quarry are still visible today. This year marks the sesquicentennial 150th anniversary, for Bark River. A history room was set up at the Bark River Senior Center over the holiday weekend, but an extended celebration will continue in 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
