ESCANABA — Sarah Y. Anderson, of Escanaba, recently graduated Magma Cum Laude from Michigan Technological University. She received the degree of Bachelor of Science, majoring in accounting while specializing in data analytics with an additional major in finance and a minor in economics.

At MTU, Anderson was involved in Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority, MUB Board, Tech Tutors, Superior Wind Symphony, Order of Omega, Accounting Club, Finance Club, Circle K, and Habitat for Humanity. She also participated in LeaderShape, the Silicon Valley Experience, and the Applied Portfolio Management Program.

After a summer internship at CliftonLarsonAllen in Minneapolis, Minn., Anderson will return to MTU to pursue a MS in accounting while working on her CPA designation. CliftonLarsonAllen is the 8th largest accounting firm in the U.S.

Sarah Anderson is the daughter of Karen A. Anderson of Escanaba.
