Legion to meet tonight

FLAT ROCK — The monthly meeting of the Escanaba River American Legion Post 115 and the Auxiliary will be held at the Escanaba Township Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5.

Heart of the North Lions to meet Thursday

ESCANABA — The Heart of the North Lions Club meeting will be held at the Highland on Thursday, May 6 with the eboard meeting at 6 p.m. and the General meeting at 6:45 p.m. Members are asked to plan to attend and invite a guest.

The Heart of the North Lions Club is part of Lions Clubs International, the largest service club organization in the world. Its 1.35 million members in more than 46,000 clubs are serving communities in 207 countries and geographical areas around the globe. Since 1917, Lions clubs have aided the blind and visually impaired, championed youth initiatives and strengthened local communities through hands-on service and humanitarian projects.
