Remember When?

Photo courtesy of the Delta County Historical Society From the intersection in Bark River looking south, residents return from a Sunday afternoon baseball game in 1910. Both homes to the left remain today, the first being the Stig Berg home and the second home of Jerry and Christine Russell. In the background, Salem Lutheran Church can be seen. The church was built in 1889 and remains today. 2021 marks the sesquicentennial — the 150th anniversary — for Bark River. There will be a history room set up at the Bark River Senior Center this coming 4th of July weekend for the public to visit. An extended celebration will continue in 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
