Veterans mobile pantry

RAPID RIVER — A free food giveaway for veterans is set for Dec, 17, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., or until food runs out. The veterans mobile pantry will be located at 10556 Pine Street, Rapid River.

This mobile pantry is only for veterans. Veterans are asked to have their veteran ID, DL enhancement, VA ID, or DD214. Please do not get out of the vehicle, do not wander around the distribution site, and do not bring boxes — they will be provided.

OSF Cancer Support Group to meet virtually

ESCANABA — OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group will host its monthly cancer support group on Tuesday, Dec. 8. Members will meet virtually via the online meeting platform, Skype from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The support group is available to all cancer patients and survivors, regardless of where they have received or are receiving treatment. Advance registration is required in order for a Skype invitation to be provided. To register, call 906-233-4140 or visit www.osfstfrancis.org/events.
