CRYSTAL FALLS — Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp’s annual Fall Fest will be celebrated in cyberspace this year. A virtual quilt auction will be streamed from the camp’s Facebook page Saturday, Oct. 3 from 10 to 11 a.m. CDT.

Prior to the live auction, participants may begin bidding on a colorful array of juried quilts, handmade items and unique real camp experiences. This silent auction will opened Wednesday, Sept. 23 at noon and will close Saturday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. Go to fortunelake.org and follow the link to browse the items and register as a bidder.

Area residents are invited to an in-person viewing of auction items Today, Thursday, Sept. 24 from 3-7 p.m. onsite in the chapel-auditorium. No purchases can be made at this time but volunteers will assist guests in registering as bidders for both the silent and live auctions. Facemasks and physical distancing will be required for this open house.

“Fortune Lake Camp looks forward to welcoming back our supporters and friends in this nontraditional way,” said Camp Director Amanda Rasner. “We are grateful for your steady commitment to this ‘place of grace’ as we celebrate 90 years of ministry together. The enduring partnership with our U.P. and Northeastern Wisconsin communities will help sustain us, through God’s grace, for another 90 plus years.”
