Escanaba Class of 1975 reunion canceled

ESCANABA — Escanaba Class of 1975 has canceled the 45th Class Reunion, which was scheduled for Sept. 26, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dance set for July 19

K.I. SAWYER — There will be a dance on July 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the K.I. Sawyer Heritage Air Museum. Music will be performed by the HartBeats. There is a fee for the dance. All are welcome.

Escanaba Class of 1965 postpones reunion

ESCANABA — Due to the restrictions and limitations brought about by the coronavirus, the Escanaba Class of 1965 has decided to postpone the planned August reunion until 2021. The committee regrets any inconvenience this may cause classmates, particularly those who were traveling to the events from out of the area.

The class Facebook group, “Escanaba Class of 1965,” will continue to provide information on classmates as well as reunion updates. Classmates are asked to continue to provide updated contact information via email to ­markhmiller5389@yahoo.com.

Promenades rescheduled

MENOMINEE — Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, La Societe Des 40 Hommes et 8 Chevaux, Menominee County Voiture 1288 has not held a promenade so far this year. The March Promenade was scheduled to be at the Stephenson Legion but the governor prohibited gatherings and non-essential travel.

The following is the schedule for upcoming promenades:

July 21 — Promenade at the Carney-Nadeau American Legion

August 18 — Promenade at the Hermansville American Legion

In addition, Voiture 1288 has scheduled their nurses training gun raffle for Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Carney-Nadeau American Legion. The event is the only fundraiser the Voiture holds.

Gladstone Class of 1970 reunion canceled

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone High School Class of 1970 50th reunion scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 5 has been canceled due to COVID-19.

The reunion committee will update classmates with any plans for another reunion.

Breakfasts postponed

RAPID RIVER — Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and taking into consideration the health issues and average age of its members and clientele as a whole, the active and voting members of Walter W. Cole Post 301 in Rapid River have decided to forgo its normal fundraisers — breakfasts and turkey dinner — until 2021.
