Wells Lions Club 52 week raffle winner
WELLS — The winners of the Wells Lions Club 52 week raffle for June 29 are Jackie Ruhlman of New Baltimore, Mich. and Jodi Punzel of Escanaba. Ruhlman and Punzel each won $250. This was week 48 of the raffle.
Rapid Readers to resume meetings July 16
RAPID RIVER — Maintaining safe social distance, perhaps using patio-seating, the Rapid Readers will meet Thursday, July 16 to discuss “Speaking Truth to Power” by Anita Hill and “Before We Were Yours” by Lisa Wingate. The group will meet at Jack’s at 10 a.m.
The August discussion is penciled in for the second Thursday of the month — a departure from the group’s typical third-Thursday meetings — on Aug. 13 at Jack’s. The August novels are “The Huntress” by Kate Quinn and Jim Harrison’s “The Great Leader.”

Cloverland Legion to meet on July 7
ESCANABA — Cloverland American Legion Post 82 of Escanaba will hold its monthly meeting on July 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Purple Heart Building, located at 1202 Sheridan Rd. in Escanaba.
MARSP meeting status
ESCANABA — The August and October meetings of the Delta County MARSP chapter have been canceled. The September meeting is pending.
Women’s AA meetings change location
ESCANABA — The Women’s Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting held previously at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Escanaba is now being held in the First United Methodist Church, located at 302 S. 6th St., Escanaba. Women’s AA open meetings will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. Use the back entrance.
