Remember When?
Courtesy photo Following World War II, most small towns in the Upper Peninsula fielded a baseball team, and fans spent Sunday afternoon at the ball game. Perronville was a member of the Tri-County Baseball League during that time, and the players pitted their talent against teams from Bark River, Felch, Powers/Spalding and others in the outlying areas. The players have been identified as follows: from left front, Tom Bartoszek, Royal Taylor, Bill Slaga, Glenn Johnson, Stanley Shiverski, and Ben Johnson; back row, Steve Shiverski, Anthony Bartoszek, Art Johnson, Ray Gauthier, and Bill Lawrence.
