Audubon Club to meet

ESCANABA — The Bay de Noc Audubon Club will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. The meeting will take place in Room 961 of the Joseph Heirman University Center at Bay College.

The meeting is open to anyone interesting in birding. There is no charge.

Friends of the Library host game night

GLADSTONE — The Friends of the Gladstone Library will host their Annual Fall Card Party and Game Night on Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the library. Groups should reserve tables with Pam Chouinard by calling 280-2918. Individuals may also attend and join a group for the evening.

There will be a silent auction and a pie social, and a “Reader’s Basket” will be given away as a door prize.

Attendees are asked to bring their own games or gather a group to play bridge. Tickets can be purchased from Friends of the Gladstone Library members or at the library itself. Proceeds go to supplement children’s programs and activities such as the reading programs and story hours.

Escanaba River Legion to meet Nov. 11

ARNOLD — The Escanaba River American Legion Post 115 and the Auxiliary will meet at the Wells School in Arnold at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11 for a program and the regular monthly meeting.

Hunters’ Turkey Dinner

RAPID RIVER — The Walter W. Cole American Legion Post 301 in Rapid River will be having its annual Hunters’ Turkey Dinner Saturday, Nov. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. Raffle drawings will be held at 7 p.m. There is a cost to attend this dinner.

St. Thomas pasty sale

ESCANABA — St. Thomas Church will hold a pasty sale Nov. 11 and 12 from 2 to 5 p.m. Plain and rutabaga pasties will be available.

Pick-up will be at St. Thomas Parish Hall,1820 9th Avenue North in Escanaba. To order, call 789-9205.

Elks brunch Sunday

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Elks Friday fish fries are held every Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. The monthly brunch will be held Sunday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bay de Noc Stamp and Coin Club meets Monday

ESCANABA — The next meeting of the Bay de Noc Stamp and Coin Club will be Monday, Nov. 11 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is held in the Joseph Heirman University Center, room 961 at Bay College.

The public is always invited to meetings, and the group is always looking for new members.

Foster Grandparent in-service meeting

ESCANABA — The Delta County Foster Grandparent Program will have an in-service meeting held on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Escanaba Senior Center, 225 North 21st Street, Escanaba.

Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

Delta County Veterans Council to hold meeting

ESCANABA — Delta County Veterans Council will hold its next regular meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Purple Heart Building, 1202 Sheridan Road.

Toastmasters to meet

ESCANABA — Bay De Noc Toastmasters develops communication and leadership skills every Wednesday, except the last Wednesday of the month, at noon in the Penstar Building, located at 1431 N. 26th St. in Escanaba.
