Marine Corps League Auxiliary spaghetti dinner

ESCANABA — The Marine Corps League Auxiliary Annual Spaghetti Fundraiser will be held on Oct. 19 at the Elks Club in Escanaba. Dinner is served from 4 to 7 p.m.

Isabella potluck planned

ISABELLA — The Isabella Community Hall, located at US-2 and County Road 495, will hold a potluck dinner at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19.

Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite card or board game for evening enjoyment. Door prizes will be awarded at the end of the event.

‘Halloween Tails’ at Gladstone Public Library

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Public Library will host a “Halloween Tails!” story hour on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.. All children ages two to ten years old are welcome to join in the spine-tingling festivities and will enjoy special hair-raising tales, spooky music, crafts and a special treat. Guests are asked to come dressed in their best costume.

Harvest Bazaar in Garden

GARDEN — Garden Christian Fellowship along with Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church will hold their Harvest Bazaar, Silent Basket Auction and Luncheon on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 6411 State St. in Garden.

Cribbage season now underway in Gladstone

GLADSTONE — The Bay de Noc Cribbage Club 218 2019-2020 season is underway. The cribbage club meets every Monday night for 36 weeks. It is a part of the American Cribbage Congress and plays by their rules. Nine games are played each time with the top 25 percent getting paid.

Fire department to hold ­breakfast and bake sale

FORD RIVER — Ford River Volunteer Fire Department will hold a pancake breakfast and bake sale on Sunday, Oct. 20 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Ford River Township Hall. Guests can follow the signs from M-35 or U.S. 2 & 41.

Red Shirt Night planned

ESCANABA — Escanaba Eagles 1088 at 608 Ludington St. will be holding Red Shirt Night on Nov. 2. Dinner will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

There will be raffles, 50/50 drawings, and music by The Grand Design from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Members can purchase tickets now through 7 p.m. on Oct. 27. The public can purchase tickets from Oct. 20 through 7 p.m. Oct 27.

Cancer benefit planned

BARK RIVER — A spaghetti dinner, bake sale, and silent auction will take place at Salem Lutheran Church, located at 4304 D Road in Bark River on Oct. 20. The event, which is hosted by the Salem Lutheran Cancer Support group, will benefit local families by helping with cancer related expenses.

The event kicks off at 11:30 a.m. and will run until 3 p.m. EST, with the silent auction closing at 2 p.m. A free-will offering will also be taken at the event.

Bark River Senior Center weekly activities

BARK RIVER — The Bark River Seniors meet each Wednesday for a Meals on Wheels dinner at 11:30 a.m. EST. There is a cost for the meal.

The coffee pot will be on and there will be opportunities for visiting and cards beginning at 9 a.m. Sit-&-Fit exercises are begun at 10 a.m., for those interested.

Bingo follows lunch.
