MANISTIQUE — In a rare Court of Honor held by Troop 400 in Manistique on Saturday, March 9, three Scouts earned the rank of Eagle. The last time this happened in Manistique was 1973.

The three Eagle Scouts all completed large community service projects as part of earning their Eagle rank.

Jacob Maki’s project was building and installing benches for the Healing Garden at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital. Leif Gustafson’s project was building more trails and benches for the Audubon Society’s bird watching area along the Indian River. Matthew Wood’s project was building and installing water safety stations along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
