ESCANABA — As of January of this year, the Care Free Dental Clinic in Escanaba has been treating patients for 10 years. Care Free is one of the most successful free clinics in Michigan.

Paul and Paula Jacobs had a dream to be able to provide free and necessary dental services to those in need in our community. With the help from St. Vincent De Paul they provided space for a dental clinic. It opened in January 2008.

Success like this does not happen without volunteers. The Professional dental community stepped up. Dentists, receptionist, and dental assistants have given countless hours of their time and have performed almost 2 million dollars worth of free dental services to at least three thousand Delta County residents.

Donations made by the community allow the clinic to buy the supplies needed. The clinic thanks everyone who has devoted their time and made donations and is looking forward to many more years of service to the community.

The clinic is located at the St Vincent De Paul building at 115 N 8th Street in Escanaba. Office hours are Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon.
