Wells Lions 52 Club Raffle Winner named

WELLS — The winner of the Wells Lions Club raffle for the week of March 26 is Dale Koepp of Gladstone. Koepp won $100. This was week 34 of the raffle.

Elks 354 installs new officers at banquet

ESCANABA — Escanaba Elks Lodge 354 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America held their annual awards banquet and Installation of Officers ceremony on Saturday, March 24 at the Lodge on Ludington Street in Escanaba. Amvets feature karaoke Friday from 7 to 11 p.m.

ESCANABA — Amvets Post 123 at 1315 North Lincoln Road, Escanaba are featuring karaoke Friday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Veterans and the public are welcome with a donation.

Ecumenical Good Friday service in Escanaba

ESCANABA — The Community/Ecumenical Good Friday Service will take place at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 500 Ogden in Escanaba on Friday, March 30. The hour-long service will begin at noon.

Churches participating include: St. Stephen’s, Immanuel Lutheran, Bethany Lutheran, Christ the King Lutheran, First Presbyterian, Salvation Army, First United Methodist, Central United Methodist, and Harbor Lights Church of God.

Gladstone Ecumenical Good Friday service

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Ecumenical Good Friday Worship Service will be held on Friday, March 30 at 7 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 1212 Minneapolis Ave., Gladstone. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Elks plans Good Friday and Easter meals

ESCANABA — Good Friday, March 30, the Escanaba Elks will be serving their new Friday night menu from 5 to 8 p.m. Come early so you can get the best catch of the day.

The card raffle is increasing, but it can’t continue without you.

Easter Brunch will be served from 9 a.m. to 1p.m. on Easter Sunday. Make your reservations now by calling the club at 786-2294.

DAV to hold meeting

ESCANABA — The next scheduled meeting for the DAV Chapter 24 will be held on Monday, April 2 at 7 p.m. at the Military Order of the Purple Heart building, 1202 Sheridan Road, Escanaba.

Breaking Bread at Jack’s Restaurant

RAPID RIVER — Breaking Bread is a monthly gathering at Jack’s Restaurant in Rapid River. A meal begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3 followed by a discussion on how Jesus is relevant to our lives as we live a life of compassion, love, peace and justice.
