WELLS — Father Rick Courier of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wells recently accepted a $5,000 check from Community Foundation for Delta County Board Chair Charles Becker. The donation from the foundation will be utilized by the church for its “Elevator Car” project.

Becker stated, “With the church’s recent construction project for a new front entryway into the church and an elevator car for use of individuals with handicaps became necessary for those going downstairs to the hall and facilities.”

Father Courier thanked Becker and the Community Foundation for their substantial donation to help in finishing the renovations being made to the front of the church.

“I’ve been aware of the great work the community foundation does in the community and the people of our parish are truly grateful for their support,” he said.
