Two area high school seniors were awarded $250 scholarships. Ashlynn Pryal, left photo, from Rapid River received the Mickey Salmon Wheelin Sportsmen Memorial Scholarship. Dylan Bernson, right photo, from Gladstone received the Joel P. Erickson Wheelin Sportsmen Memorial Scholarship, along with winning the state NWTF Scholarship in the amount of $2,500. Ashlynn and Dylan were presented their scholarships by Fred Nordman, treasurer of the Bay’s de Noc Gobblers.
