ESCANABA — The Escanaba health clinic schedule for Public Health Delta Menominee Counties for the week of April 3-7 includes:
Monday — WIC
Tuesday — Late Night Family Planning; Late Night Immunizations
Wednesday — Late Night WIC; Family Planning Clinic
Thursday — No Clinics Available
Friday — WIC; Family Planning
All clients are seen by appointment only. Evening and Saturday appointments are available for some clinics. Anonymous HIV/AIDS testing and counseling is also available. In Delta County, call 786-4111 about any of these services, and in Menominee County, call (906)863-4451.

BARK RIVER — Sunday worship with full communion is at 10 a.m. This week’s text is from John 11: 1-45. Coffee fellowship will follow the service.
On Tuesday, the men’s ecumenical “Chat and Chew” will meet at the Firekeeper’s Restaurant at 8 a.m. The local TOPS club meets at the church at 5:30 p.m., and choir practice will be held at 6 p.m.
Salem quilters gather on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. A soup and sandwich dinner will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and the Lenten services will be held at 7 p.m.
Adult Bible study is on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

at St. Stephens
ESCANABA — The Fifth Sunday in Lent will be celebrated at the 10 a.m. service. Rev. Laura Woodworth will preside and preach.
Wednesday Lenten services will be held at 11 a.m. in Canterbury Hall.
No services will be held on Wednesday, April 12. A Maundy Thursday services will be held at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on April 13.
The music committee will meet Sunday, April 9 at 11 a.m. in the Nave.
The Delta County Medical Loan Closet is located at St. Stephen’s. The Closet loans a wide variety of devices.
Eagles hold craft
and vendor event
ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eagles 1088 will be holding its second annual spring fling craft and vendor market fundraiser event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 13 at the Eagles Hall at 608 Ludington St.

Smelt fry on April 7
FAITHORN — The Faithorn Township Volunteer Fire Department will holds its 55th annual smelt fry on Friday, April 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Faithorn Township Hall. Cod and pasta with meat sauce will also be available. Cost is $12 for adults, and $6 for children. All proceeds go to fund the operation of the Volunteer Fire Department.

breakfast and bake sale
FORD RIVER — Ford River Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department will host a pancake breakfast and bake sale on Sunday, April 23, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Ford River Township Hall. Follow the signs from M-35 or U.S. 2 & 41. They will be serving pancakes, scrambled eggs, American fries, sausage, coffee and orange juice. Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $4 for kids, and children under 5 are free.

WELLS — The winner of week 38 of the Wells Lions 52 club raffle is Gary Corrigan of Escanaba, winning $100.
Mill retirees plan
meeting Wednesday
ESCANABA — The Mill Retirees group will meet on Wednesday, April 5, at the Union Hall on Sheridan Road at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a 50/50 drawing.
All mill retirees are invited to attend. The group meets the first Wednesday of every month.
