FORD RIVER — Mark and Carol Povich celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 16, 2025. Mark and Carol met at Alma College and were married in Alma, Michigan. Mark completed medical school and joined the Air Force. After completing his service, the couple moved their family to the Upper Peninsula and Mark began working at OSF St. Francis Medical Group in 1994; he has recently cut back to part time. Carol was a dedicated homemaker and homeschooled the couple’s nine children, and now volunteers at Pregnancy Services of Delta County. The couple celebrated their milestone at their Ford River home with their nine children and their spouses and 27 grandchildren.
