Sullivan in city band for more than 50 years

Andrea Sullivan

ESCANABA — Andrea Sullivan is a dedicated musician who has been an integral part of the Escanaba City Band for over 50 years, playing the clarinet and occasionally the bass drum. With over 35 years of experience as the band manager, Sullivan has played a pivotal role in shaping the band’s success and community presence.

Now retired from her day job, she continues to bring her passion and expertise to the band, especially cherishing performances on the 4th of July. Her favorite composer is the illustrious “March King,” John Philip Sousa, whose compositions have always inspired her. Outside of her musical endeavors, she enjoys playing bingo, ringing handbells, solving online crosswords, and acting in local productions.
