Terry Fator to perform sold-out show at the Island

HARRIS — Ventriloquist, impressionist, comedian and singer Terry Fator will be the headlining act at the Island Resort and Casino in Harris on Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19 at 8 p.m. His show at the Island is sold out.

Fator, the “America’s Got Talent” season two champion, has been dominating the stage in Las Vegas since 2008. “Terry Fator: The VOICE of Entertainment,” at the Mirage Hotel & Casino, has been one of the largest entertainment deals in Vegas history.

Today, Fator voices 15 different character puppets, including puppets of public figures like Donald Trump and Paul McCartney as well as Fator’s own characters like Vikki the Cougar, Walter T. Airdale and many others.

Fator is mostly known for his puppet, “Winston the Impersonating Turtle,” who helps headline the show.

Originally from Texas, Fator received his first puppet when he was 10 years old. Throughout his childhood, the talented ventriloquist would entertain friends and family doing impersonations of singers and actors.

Fator made his first television appearance on June 19, 2007 auditioning for “America’s Got Talent,” a talent competition television show. After winning, Fator became an instant sensation.

Along with winning his own headlining show in Las Vegas, Fator also took home a $1 million prize.
