ESCANABA — Sunday worship begins at 10 a.m. Pastor is David Shaffer.

ESCANABA — Sunday morning worship services will be held at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Nursery is available for both services. The church offers a variety of children and adult discipleship groups in both small and large group settings with specific needs in mind. “Connections” fellowship is held immediately following each service.

Men’s Bible study gathers Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Christian men’s fellowship coffee hour follows at 8:15 p.m. at Culver’s.

MOPS (Moms of Preschoolers) is held on the first and third Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. and the third Friday of the month at 10:30 a.m. at the church.

GLADSTONE — Sunday worship service will take place at 9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. Fellowship time will be held at 10:30 a.m. Grace Kids will meet at 11 a.m. during the service. This is for children in nursery through fifth grade.

BARK RIVER — Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. with classes for all ages. The worship service follows at 11 a.m. This Sunday will be the church’s Operation Christmas Child shoebox dedication. The annual Thanksgiving and Praise service will take place at 6 p.m., followed by a pie fellowship.

Ladies’ Bible studies meet at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesdays. All are welcome.

There will be no Awana this week due to the ­Thanksgiving holiday.

RAPID RIVER — Sunday morning worship services begin at 10:30 a.m. at the meetinghouse on Cleveland Street. The adult Sunday school meets at 9:15 a.m. for seventh grade through adults, and kindergarten through sixth grades will meet for Sunday school during the 10:30 a.m. service.

Bible study will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. That evening, the church will join with the other churches in Rapid River for a community Thanksgiving Eve service at Calvary Lutheran Church at 7 p.m. An offering will be taken to help Hope at the Inn, and a food offering will be collected for St. Vincent’s.

The Christmas Bazaar will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2.

On Sunday, Dec. 3, the church will have their annual Advent hymn sing at 7 p.m.

Coffee fellowship is from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday at the 8:30 a.m. service, and at the 10:45 a.m. service on the first and third Sunday of the month during the school year. The Ark Preschool is a licensed, non-profit, preschool for children two and half to six years old. A certified director, teachers, and teaching assistants provide an enriched environment for the children to grow. The church ladies will have their wreaths for sale at the Perkins store, Joe’s One Stop in Rock, and the Rapid River Mini-Mart. The price is $20, and half the proceeds will go to the U.P. Honor Flight.

GLADSTONE — The youth are preparing and serving supper for Hope at the Inn tonight. The church’s free movie night will also begin at 6 p.m. today.
