HYDE/POWERS — The Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost will be celebrated on “Parish Picnic” Sunday. There will be no service at 8:30 a.m. at the church. Instead, both St. Paul’s and Grace in Powers will be worshiping at the Powers’ Memorial Park Shelter on Hwy 2, just north of Powers. The service is casual and will begin at 10 a.m. (EST).

Pastor Ronald Zindler will continue the sermon series “Building Blocks for a Christian Home” based on Galatians 5:22. This week’s sermon text will be Joshua 24:14-18 with the building block “Faithfulness.”

Those coming are asked to bring a lawn chair if they like. Music for the service will be provided. The parish picnic will follow the worship service with grilled brats, hamburgers, and hot dogs. Families are asked to bring a dish or two to pass along with table service for their family. Singles can bring a bag of chips or desserts.
