Norse men pull away improve to 12-4

PETOSKEY, MI – The Bay College Men's Basketball Team (12-4, 1-1 MCCAA) opened up a lead late in the game against the North Central Michigan Timberwolves (1-13, 0-2 MCCAA) and ended up with a 64-40 victory on the road. The Norse started the game on a 10-2 run, but the Timberwolves responded with a 13-0 stretch in which they took the lead for the first time of the night. PETOSKEY, MI – The Bay College Women's Basketball Team (13-3, 2-0 MCCAA) scored early and often to put the game away and cruise to a 95-35 victory over the North Central Michigan College Timberwolves (2-12, 0-2 MCCAA). The Norse wasted no time putting themselves in command as their defense cranked up the pressure and the offense was incredibly efficient. Landings are a gauntlet of rough, frozen slush ruts. Once traffic disperses onto the bay, it’s mostly smooth wind blown ice. Any snow remaining is in drifts amongst the slush ruts or towards the top of the bay. There is a chance for a dusting of snow over the next couple of days. A couple of inches would be great for insulating fish shacks when next week’s polar vortex moves into town. It looks like ideal weather conditions for the weekend.
