Hematites defeat Eagles in 8-man action

ISHPEMING — The Stephenson Eagles had issues with Ishpeming’s potent ground attack in an 80-42 eight-player football loss here Saturday afternoon. Ishpeming finished with 647 yards in total offense, with much of that coming on the ground. The teams combined for 17 touchdowns, including 11 by the Hematites. GLADSTONE — It was a tough home opener for the Gladstone Braves here Friday night as they dropped a 35-0 football decision to the Kingsford Flivvers. The Braves simply didn’t have an answer for senior quarterback Blake Tomasoski, who ran seven times for 191 yards and four touchdowns in this WestPAC-Copper Conference contest.
