Commission neglecting rules

EDITOR: I am writing to express my disappointment with the state of the Escanaba Planning Commission’s affairs. Looking at the minutes kept on the City website, it’s clear that the Commission is neglecting the rules. Section 601 of the Commission’s Bylaws clearly state that the minutes of any given meeting must include all materials the Commission reviewed during that meeting. The January, February, and March meetings all fail to include this information. EDITOR: I am compelled to respond to the article, “Bergman: Delist gray wolf from endangered species” published March 27th. Wolves in Michigan have made a remarkable recovery because of protections given to them under the Endangered Species Act, which now Bergman wants to remove through H.R. 845. EDITOR: Things are actually improving for this country. We are exposing and eliminating fraud in every government agency. Taxpayer dollars that were squandered overseas through corrupt NGOs are being pulled back thanks to the technical expertise of the highly qualified DOGE team advisors. A non-problem

EDITOR: Republicans have proposed myriad voter suppression laws since 2020 based on the lie that our elections are wrought with voter fraud. The latest attempt, the SAVE Act is a solution looking for a problem. it supposedly is meant to address the issue of non citizens voting. This is not an issue. It is already illegal, under penalty of perjury and deportation, for a noncitizen to register to vote. Who would risk deportation to illegally register to vote?
