Residents urged to take statewide housing survey

ESCANABA — The Central U.P. Regional Housing Partnership invites residents, business owners, leaders and others from across the region to take part in a statewide survey that will help shape Michigan’s next housing plan. The survey, launched by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, is open now and available to everyone at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/353RD8F. Second MDOT Adopt-A-Highway cleanup set

ESCANABA — Drivers should be on the lookout beginning Saturday as Adopt-A-Highway volunteers fan out across the state picking up litter. Participants in the Michigan Department of Transportation program will clean highway roadsides from July 11-19 during the second of three scheduled pickups this year. The Adopt-A-Highway program began in Michigan in 1990. As of last year, about 2,600 groups have adopted more than 6,000 miles of state highway through the program.
